Our founder will tell anyone who will listen that he is passionate about representing other New York City solo-entrepreneurs, founders and freelancers. He is excited to have the opportunity to advance the goals of the most ambitious and creative business minds in the city.
Dan has spent his entire career advocating for the people of New York and solving a wide array of legal issues. He began his career with The Legal Aid Society of New York, where Dan was a litigation attorney in the Civil Practice Division. He then spent time at two highly regarded boutique law firms in New York City, where he litigated claims including, but not limited to, violations of the wage and hour laws, the anti-discrimination and sexual harassment provisions of the New York City, State and Federal Human Rights Laws and the whistle-blower protection laws. He has been successful in recovering meaningful settlements for employees in many industries, including fine art and design, hospitality, advanced technology and finance. Dan has also trained forward-thinking New York City small businesses and a not-for-profit art organization in workplace sexual harassment prevention.
Dan is a proud alumnus of the University of Michigan and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he currently serves as the Co-Director of the Cardozo Alumni Association Labor and Employment Law Section. He has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers Magazine for the New York Metro Area, Employment Litigation – Plaintiff, every year since 2018. He also co-authored an article regarding sexual harassment prevention that was published in Time Magazine’s website, Time.com.
